Whoever came up with the "Never mix brown and black" rule, back in the day, was a total butthead.
Now that we got that out of the way, I have a more important update to share. I finally got my own coffee table. Okay, so it's more of a "we" than an "I", but I've been lusting after this coffee table for years now. The last coffee table we had was one of those Ikea carts we found on the side of the street; I made Jeremy help me lug it up the stairs and I shoddily painted it gold since the turquoise color didn't match our decor. So this, this is a big deal for me, especially since it's my first ever investment piece of furniture that I'm going to have to take immensely good care of and make it last for years to come. Coffee table, you and I are going to have a beautiful life together.
