The Montreal Diaries: Old Town + Biking

Our second day in Montreal was definitely my favorite, without a doubt. We woke up early to catch the most delicious and drool-worthy brunch at Le Cartet, which we had read about while doing some online research. There was a bit of a wait (given it was Saturday morning) but it was completely worth it for the incredible breakfast platters that left me ready to tuck myself right back into bed.

But the day waits for no one. We spent the majority of the afternoon exploring Old Montreal and biking all along one of the many rivers toward the Parc René-Lévesque, which was a quaint little sculpture park with beautiful views. After exhausting our legs with all that pedaling, we withdrew to the sweetest little Polish restaurant in the heart of Old Montreal. Perogies, anyone?

After a quick break (and a bit of a nap), we ended our day exploring the nightlife along Saint Catherine Street and found ourselves at Le Sainte-Elisabeth, which is known for it's incredible outdoor terrace surrounded by ridiculously tall ivy-covered walls, giving it that feeling of seclusion. After a few rounds of drinks, we ended it with some drunk poutine. Because when it Canada...eat poutine, amirite?
