Hi Everyone!
Amy (aka Roamylive) here.

Last Summer was all about the romper. Everyone was wandering around NYC in their adult onesies and it appears as though this Summer is no different. A romper can either go really right, or really wrong. It's one of those clothing items that MUST be tried on in the store because fit is so important. I've seen too many girls try to pull off rompers with ill-fitting waistlines or too short-shorts.

Despite what my guy friends say (they hate rompers!), I love a good romper.
Paired with a cute belt, casual sandals and a denim jacket, and I'm a happy urban camper!

ROMPER: Mossimo at Target
JACKET: Old Navy
BELT: H+M
SANDALS: Old Navy
NAILS: Sally Hansen in Plum Burst
TOE NAILS: Wet 'n Wild in Red Rouge

I just wanted to give a quick thanks to Jen for letting me bogart her blog for the day, and thanks to you guys for putting up with my face instead of hers! :)

xo, Amy

Guest Post: Stevia

Hello, JennifHsieh reader, I'm Stevia from The Sweetest Escape filling in for Jen while she's away on a Large-Scale Service Project and International Convention for Circle K. Don't we just admire how she keeps busy yet still manages to take care of her blog? Just amazing.

I have been a loyal stalker, I mean, reader of Jennifhsieh since I started my own blog. I love how Jen always manages to look cute even in the simplest of outfits. Something I could never pull off. So when she tweeted about looking for guest bloggers, I snatched the opportunity in a heartbeat.

There are a lot of details in this outfit that I like. From the peter pan collar, to the gold button, to the tiered skirt. I'm a sucker when it comes to peter pan collars. And puppies. And chocolates. Anyway..I hope you like this outfit and we already miss you, Jen!

Top - vintage, belt - Cotton On, skirt - Zara, wedges - Heatwave

Sponsor Spotlight: High Gloss Fashion

Sponsor Spotlight: High Gloss Fashion

Here's a quick shout out to one of my most recent sponsors: High Gloss Fashion! They've got a great variety of styles that can cater to almost anyone. Lately I've been looking for some summer accessories, (especially since I'll be attending the Circle K International Convention in Virginia Beach in only one week) and I picked out some of my favorites.

I'm hopelessly in love with these Mary Jane Clogs even though I know I won't be able to walk in them. The studs give it a kind of "bad ass" feel (that is until I fall flat on my face in them). I've been looking for some more neutral sandals this summer and the Quite Wedge Sandals to the right have caught my eye.

I'm also loving High Gloss's affordable selection of sunglasses! I'm 100% sure I'll look like a dork in either of these pairs (my face is usually too round for any sort of shades) but I can't help but lust over them. The one on the left is the Audrey Tortoise and the one on the right is the Dylan Tortoise. :)

Virginia Beach, Here I Come!

Today I'm heading off to Virginia Beach, VA for the annual Circle K International Convention and Large-Scale Service Project! I'm road tripping it down with two of my friends and hopefully we won't be too exhausted after the seven hour journey. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures for you guys!

In the meantime I scheduled a couple of extra posts and guest posts for this week. I'll talk to you guys soon! :)

Your Voice is Fading Out and In

I'm so glad it's the weekend. I have to wake up at 6AM every morning now in order to commute to my internship in the city. If I were ever to have a full time job in the city I'm pretty sure I would just suck it up and rent an apartment with some friends or something. It's definitely worth the convenience. I'm definitely planning on spending at least a few years living in NYC during my life time. It's nice having food literally everywhere and at all hours of the day. Yum.

I always love adding a casual blazer to any look - it makes me feel sophisticated without being overly dressed up. My mom's always telling me it's about time my wardrobe grew up anyway.

Anyway, I better get packing! I have to be ready to leave in 12 hours to go on my trip to Virginia Beach. I'll be gone for a week for a Circle K Convention/Large-Scale Service Projects. I can't wait to be reunited with some of my best friends in the world (I sound like a cheese ball). Actually, to be honest, I'll probably start packing right before I leave. Who am I kidding?

Barely Breathing

For these self-portraits I went to the nearby baseball fields in my town. I thought I outsmarted everyone by coming around 1 pm since school was still in session and no one would be around to witness my awkward posing. However, I was joined by two middle aged men tending to the baseball fields and riding around on their tractors. I felt extremely awkward and ran away as nonchalantly as possible. Oh, this camera? This tripod? They're not for taking pictures of myself - I just really like snapping shots of batting cages.

I'm currently taking a break from responding to emails and putting together resources to watch Because I Said So on TV. I love anything related to Mandy Moore and I also haven't watched the movie in a while so the ending is still somewhat of a surprise. Plus, Gabriel Macht is kind of gorgeous so I don't mind watching him for two hours. :)

Spill Kisses Like a Fountain

While sorting through clothes with my mom the other day I found one of her old vintage skirts. She was going to give it away but I couldn't bear to pack it up since the fabric was so gorgeous. Plus, it's a way for me to always remember my mom when I'm not living at home. I decided to wear it as a dress instead of a maxi skirt since I'm still iffy about maxi lengths with my height.

Well I'm off to go on an early morning shopping date with my madre. She wants to leave early while I just want to lounge around. I'm on the hunt for business suits that don't make me look like I'm playing dress up. Wish me luck! :)

I Just Came to Say Hello

First I just wanted to acknowledge that I look a little lackluster in these photos - can't you just see all the excitement in my eyes?  My brother was taking my photos instead of my mom and he was not a fan of being used as my blog slave.  I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm pretty weird for taking so many pictures of myself on a weekly basis.  Maybe that's because he's camera shy and refuses to let me take any photos of him.  I've been sneaking pictures here and there throughout the years though for blackmail use - I'm just playing the role of the obnoxious little sister.  >:)

I finally donated a good amount of my old clothes to the Salvation Army the other day. I'm a hoarder when it comes to clothes; either I want to hold on to something because of the related memories or I keep telling myself that there will come a day where I will wear whatever it is I'm about to donate. I'm learning to slowly let go (my mom says I'm not letting go fast enough). I still keep all of my homework and papers from elementary school until high school in the basement. I've always been one to hold on to memories no matter how small which might explain why I love to take pictures so much.

But anyway, check back in two days. I have a surprise for you guys. ;)

I Change Shapes Just to Hide in this Place

Delia's Cardigan

The weather outside is ridiculous and I can't stand the heat. All I want to do lately is sleep on a bed of ice for hours on end. I should make that happen. I would also like to profess my love for skirts and dresses for allowing summer breezes to keep my legs cool. Sure, women have to go through childbirth but at least we've got dresses! :P

I should really get off my lazy ass and run some errands and get some work done. But first, I'm gonna go grab some lunch. Until next time. :)

Orange Scallops

I actually found these pictures on a memory card that I neglected for quite some time. Jeremy took these pictures of me about a month and a half ago while spring semester classes were still going on.  In return I snapped a shot of him being a bum (shown below). He's currently in Turkey right now and I'm kind of jealous. I'm also kind of missing him but thankfully I've been so busy lately that it's keeping my mind preoccupied.

So I just got an auxiliary cord for my car so I can listen to my iPod while I'm driving around (being Governor of Circle K involves so much travel - I feel like I live in my car). I haven't updated my iPod or synced it to my iTunes in years though so lately I've just been busting out some of my old middle school favorites including Simple Plan and Avril Lavigne. That's right, if you drive past me on the parkway you will catch me screaming out lyrics full of teenage angst. I know all the words. BRING IT.
