Ring, Ring, Ring, Banana Dress

Banana Print Dress c/o Zaful (similar), V-Foxy Heels c/o Via Spiga (similar), Urban Outfitters Mini Textured Backpack in Black (similar), What Time? Watch c/o Rakani (similar), Madewell Phone Case

I'm finally debuting this bad ass banana dress on here and I couldn't be more thrilled about it because bananas are delicious, bananas make you happy, and bananas are fucking bananas and that's pretty rad. Now the only thing I need to do is get a steamer because, let me tell you, no one likes wrinkly bananas and that's most likely a cold, hard fact. I should also definitely invest in a slip (I sound like such an old fart right now) so I'm not showing my underwear left and right under the thin fabric...unless my underwear is also covered in bananas, in which case it would be super avant-garde. I think that's exactly what I might just have to do.

Banana dress...you and me? We'll go pretty far.

Pre-8:00 AM Feels

Urban Outfitters Gray Knit Crop Top (similar, similar), #F045 Frames c/o Firmoo, Oversized Flannel (similar), Urban Outfitters Destroyed Denim Cut-offs (similar), FISHS EDDY Good Morning Asshole Mug

I love the early mornings. It's when I feel most awake and the whole city seems to be at a stand still, being just as quiet and peaceful as everyone who's slowly opening their eyes to that one second where everything isn't quite clear yet. No one is online to bother you and the only living being that's around to bother me is Bubba, which doesn't even qualify as a bother. He'll follow me around until I settle down on the couch with my laptop and then he'll jump right up next to me and proceed to snuggle me and snore like a mad man...which is peaceful all in itself.

I've started to get into the habit of waiting until the last minute to pop in my contacts, to give my eyes a break. My parents have always taught me to prioritize my vision, especially since my eyesight is pretty bad already, so I've tried to do what I can to give them the rest and care they need. It's a bit hard when my job relies on the use of a computer and when Netflix just keeps calling my name. But having enough pairs of glasses to get me excited about wearing them (and taking out my contacts) definitely helps, and (time after time again) Firmoo always has my back. I mean, I'm starting to become a hoarder of glasses while other people work on their shoe and bag collections (example, example, yet another example). Bubba isn't very amused with my obsession, which is apparent.

The (Lame) Story of a Leather Jacket

Joe Fresh Leather Jacket (similar), Urban Outfitters Loose T-shirt (similar), Levi's Gray Corduroy Shorts (similar), Urban Outfitters Mini Textured Backpack in Black (similar), Urban Outfitters Leyla Sandals

This year has been all about embracing leather jackets for me. The first time I ever wore a leather jacket, was in the second grade, and it was this burgundy leather jacket that had pretty awesome zippers. I didn't understand what it was to be a badass, but I'm pretty sure I felt like a badass. Then one day, my dad was driving me and my older brother to school one day and suddenly a man pulled up next to our car and started screaming at my dad and pointing at the backseat, telling him to keep his children under control. My brother told me it was because I looked so scary and mean in my leather jacket, so I never wore it again so I wouldn't cause a situation like that again.

Turns out, my brother had stuck up his middle finger to the car behind us...that punk.

But now, I'm back at it, and I've grown to love leather jackets all over again. Even in the 90°F weather.

Jen: Safari Edition

Madewell Olive Green Cover-Up Romper (similar), Urban Outfitters Textured Mini-Backpack in Black (similar), House of Harlow 1960 Arabella Boots c/o LuLu*s (similar), What Time? Watch c/o Rakani (similar)

If you added a hat to my outfit and then photoshopped in a few lions and elephants, you would be instantly convinced that I was on a wild and crazy safari adventure. Well, maybe you would need a little bit more than that but come on guys, use a little bit of imagination.

Olive green has always been one of my favorite colors since middle school which is a bit strange since I can't stand the taste of olives, which plays in Jeremy's favor since he gets them all to himself. But if I spot something in olive green, I suddenly have to have it. Mustard yellow gives it a run for it's money though. That shit is dope (although now that I think of it, I'm not a bit fan of mustard either).

Orange Pants Baggy AF

Forever 21 Gray V-Neck T-Shirt (similar)H&M Orange Trousers (similar)Urban Outfitters Black Backpack (similar), Green Day Tripper Hat c/o LuLu*s (similar, similar), What Time? Watch c/o Rakani (similar)

I've never slept so much in one weekend. Scratch that, I've never slept so much in any single given period of time. This past Thursday we had an overnight commercial shoot and I worked for twenty-four hours straight which lead my body to rearrange my sleeping schedule a way that was not conducive to having an eventful weekend. I've watched countless Netflix movies and bothered Bubba with too many unwanted snuggles. And that's only when I'm not face down on my couch or hiding underneath my covers, asleep in the fetal position. Just getting myself to put pants on is a feat all in its own.

Which leads me to THESE PANTS. Still one of my favorite pairs of pants just because they flow with the wind and bounce up and down when I'm running down stairs. Who care how stupid I look when they're moving every which way. I will own that shit.

Cerulean Shadows in Astoria

Forever 21 Gray Longline Wool-blend Coat (similar, similar), Gypsy Warrior Dream Girl Mini Dress (similar, similar), Volcom Olive Green Hat c/o LuLu*s (similar), H&M Thigh High Black Socks (similar), Aldo Black Suede Wedge Oxfords (similar), Miscellaneous Thin Gold Rings (similar), Triangle Ring and Heartbeat Ring c/o Happiness Boutique

One of my friends just recently moved into a new apartment in Boston, so a bunch of us are making the drive up north for some belated celebrations with him. These celebrations will mostly involved eating more than we should and drinking enough to balance out the food. The last time we were all together in Boston, about half a year ago, we collectively splurged on the Sam Adams Barrel Room collection. By the end of this weekend, every drop of those bottles will happily have made a home in our bellies. Yesssssss.

And just in time for the bitter cold that is Boston, I've recently snatched up this beauty of a coat. It was exactly what I was looking for on a budget so I couldn't be happier. On the other hand, Jeremy refuses to call it a coat due to the lack of buttons. Fuck practicality though, you know? Let the wind seep in, I say!

Red Lips + Unwashed Hair

White Striped Dress c/o LuLu*s (similar), Urban Outfitters Polka Dot Chiffon Skirt (similar), Urban Outfitters Suede Crossbody Pouch, Vince Camuto Carine High Heel (similar)

For some reason, the only thing I can think of writing right now, is that I'm pooped. I don't think I've felt quite well rested enough at any point in the last month and my brain is just ready to go into hibernation for a few weeks. I keep setting my alarm earlier and earlier in order to get more work done in the quiet, early hours...but to my avail I constantly find myself waking up later and later with a sleeping Bubba cuddling in my arms. The struggle is constant and real.

All of this also leads to unwashed, messy hair...which is supposed to be "in" these days, isn't it? Either way, a bold red lip distracts from the rest of the grossness. Beauty tips from me to you. You're welcome.
