I'm still not 100% sure that I can pull off this hat, but you can tell from these pictures that I literally just can't keep my hands off it. My cold, goosebump-covered, wrapped-in-knitted-arm-warmer hands. The weather today was absolutely brutal with beautiful snowfall ending in slippery slush mixed with ice. But I still stand by my love for snow no matter how chilly the temperatures may drop.
Despite the unfortunate weather, Jeremy and I still managed to stay warm by visiting the Museum of the Moving Image a few blocks away from our apartment. It's such a cool museum to spend an afternoon wandering about and the best part is that it comes with complimentary movie screenings. This afternoon they were showing Miyazaki's rumored final film, The Wind Rises, and being a Miyazaki lover there was no way I was going to pass that up. The Chuck Jones exhibit is also wrapping up over the next couple of weeks so I spent some time marveling at original Bugs Bunny sketches. Definitely worth stopping by if you're ever in the Astoria area.
Believe me, girl, you ARE pulling off that hat! It gives you an edge, which personally I like. I love how the colour of the hat compliments the jacket, or vice versa. The museum sounds so amazing! I wouldn't believe Miyazaki's retirement yet, though. He's said he'd retire a couple times now, so yeah. What do you think on The Wind Rises though?

ReplyDeleteYour mustard yellow tights look wonderful styled with your Lulu's striped dress and olive green coat. Your hair looks very pretty, I love your smile, and you definitely 'pull off' the hat beautifully! It's a lovely outfit.
