I'm such a sucker for birthdays. I don't know why, but they're the absolute best. There's just something about making such a fuss about someone until they can't handle it and want to hide in a hole. But then even when they're hiding in that hole they love it because all the embarrassment is worth knowing that people out there are lovin' you extra hard. That's how I feel right now.

Today I am finally 25. I don't know why I use the word finally, but it seems like there's just so much surrounding this number that makes it such a statement age. All my friends have been telling me that everything changes when you're 25. Everything is different, from the way people treat you, to the way you see yourself, to the way you view the world. But hey, age is just a number, isn't it? (I sound like such a cougar.) So, I'm going to go into this next year with a clean head and an open mind and just see what happens. No goals, no resolutions, no expectations. I'm all yours, 25.
