Riding Out the Rainstorms

Ride Raincoat in Wine c/o Snowman New York (20% Discount Code: Jennifer20), Urban Outfitters Navy Polka Dot Skirt (similar), Timberland Authentics in Burgundy

The April Showers, which have turned into May Showers, haven't left quite yet and the sky is still looking pretty gray and dreary over here in New York City. Luckily for me, I had a few helpful hands reach out from Snowman New York and gift me with this raincoat that just kicks Mother Nature's ass (no offense to Mother Nature). And no, it doesn't actually make me look like a snowman, per the name of the brand.

I've always underestimated the usefulness of having waterproof clothing and I'm pretty sure the last raincoat I had was a 101 Dalmatians themed raincoat when I was five years old. So now when the wind shoots rain from all angles, I still arrive at work dry as a...what's something that's really dry? Because that's what I'm like. Also, I have to give a huge shout out to this huge hood because it actually protects my head (and hair, because I refuse to let the weather define how my hair looks) and doesn't blow off every five seconds. We're going to be best friends, hood. Best friends.

If you're in the market for a new raincoat (or bomb ass puffy coats) for the ages, they're offering you guys a 20% discount code, Jennifer20.

I recently stumbled upon your blog and what kept me here is your smile. It just seems to project so much sunshine and happiness. That and your style of course.

  5. I'm a huge classic, whimsical raincoat fan, but I actually love how this doesn't look like a raincoat. It's way cooler than usual waterproof clothing.

  7. Seems like you're not alone with May showers, in Germany it's more like a May Sun-Cloud-Rain-Storm thing, really, everything together ;)
Love the outfit, you got pieces for every weather occasion, when the sun's coming out, the jacket won't look off, but match to the boots. Everytime I see one of your outfits I enjoy the preppiness you give to simple pieces!

    Love

  9. Cute outfit! :) I love the polka dot skirt & the timberlands. I don't think I've seen timberlands in that color before.

Also, ugh rain. This weekend is going to be super rainy in NYC again.

  11. The weather here in Virginia isn't that great as well, I hope it gets better these coming days.
I'm loving your raincoat because it's in my favorite color. Now I'm very tempted to purchase once since it also has 20% discount.
