Jen: Now in 3D

I decided to snap some shots of my outfit in my Air Conditioned room today. It's my "running errands" and go-to outfit (minus the glasses). A couple of months ago, Jasmine included these 3D Movie glasses with a Dynamic Duo package with the lenses popped out (she works at a movie theater so it's only natural that she'd have some lying around). I wear them around often even though they don't improve my vision...at all. All I can say is...everything is 3D whenever they're on. But then again everything was 3D to begin with. :P

Creepers & Mustaches

Creepers & Mustaches

You can't really tell in these shots but I'm sweaty. Really sweaty. So sweaty I'm dripping on my forehead. Deliciously attractive, right? I decided to venture outside despite the heat wave. In a housing development nearby my house I noticed a giant pond surrounded by these reeds and I just knew I had to snap some shots with them. I had an urge to poke a few of them but they were too close to the water and the ground nearby wasn't very solid.

Oh, and let me tell you guys, taking pictures near housing developments is a very very very scary thing. You would think it'd be safe, but no. There was this "older gentlemen" taking a walk in the neighborhood. He saw me park my car and he was walking behind me as I made my way over to the lake. He proceeded to watch me from afar. I thought he was just resting underneath a tree for it's shade...but then I realized he was looking in my direction. I pretended to be setting up my camera for the longest time (I snapped a shot of him - see below). Then he moved along, but then stopped at yet ANOTHER tree and continued to stare. Finally after a few minutes he moved along his way. I sighed a huge breath of relief and then started to pose all silly like for photos. I got lost in my picture taking. But then all of a sudden, I turned around just to take a break and HE WAS COMING AROUND THE POND!!!!! Let me tell you, this isn't a pond you hike around. I freaked out and snatched up my tripod without retracting the legs or removing the camera and walked away as fast as I could with my wedges. I didn't want to wait around to see what he had to say. I jumped in my car and sped away in my wedges. I never drive in wedges but I had no time to change into flats. No time.

So, can we talk about this AMAZING MUSTACHE NECKLACE? Yes, we can. A few months ago I gushed over Ali's mustache necklace that she apparently MADE HERSELF? I had been craving one but reluctant to spend the money for one. Because Ali is such a sweetheart she offered to make one for me! It came in the mail a few weeks ago and I've been wearing it as if I actually have a mustache every day. She named it Marvin and I'm quite head over heels with him. :)

Oh, and my best friend who moved to Texas sent me this lovely skirt! She knows how much I love BCBG. I miss her (if you're reading this, Phebe, get your ass back to NJ ASAP!)

Introducing...Tony Wang!

This is Tony Wang, and he is fabulous. Trust me.

I met Tony a couple of months ago. He's a Googler and a fellow fashion blogger who is currently working at Youtube. Tony is spearheading an effort to promote fashion at Google (specifically fashion and technology) which will give bloggers of all types a chance to play a significant role in helping Google improve! I can't disclose too many details but if you want to participate and get more involved with this program just follow Tony on Twitter and send him an @reply indicating that you're interested in being a part and getting more information!

It's a great way to get some unprecedented exposure with your site with a highly connected and tech savvy audience. It's amazing being able to be in the know how, especially when it comes to Google!

P.S. Check out Tony's blog as well! :)
P.P.S. Pass along the word!
Clear Blue Skies

Clear Blue Skies

I've been having a lovely past couple of days despite the horrible heat wave that's melting everything in New Jersey (including me). Maybe I'll post some firework shots I got this past Sunday. I didn't just get firework shots on the fourth of July...I also got around 30 bug bites that are starting to resemble the chicken pox I never had. I can't stop itching the bumps no matter how hard I try not to. I've resorted to covering up my limbs with band-aids. Those bugs are brutal.

(romper forever 21 [remixed], skirt forever 21, belt delia's, shoes urban outfitters)

Please excuse the fact that my romper is peeking out from underneath my skirt. Maybe it'll be a new trend...yes? no? no, I didn't think so. :P

Sorry I haven't been blogging as much as I usually do. I'm so consumed with making newsletters, sleeping, sitting in front of the fan, and hanging out with friends. It's hard for me to focus on one thing at a time. In the middle of blogging I'll get distracted by an email. In the middle of responding to an email I'll get distracted by the smell of watermelon coming from the kitchen. In the middle of eating watermelon I'll get distracted by a youtube video. In the middle of a youtube video I'll get distracted by a text message. In the middle of texting I'll get distracted by the fact that I never finished my blog entry. It's a vicious cycle, let me tell you.

Baby There's a Shark in the Water

The other day I ventured to a downtown area nearby with one of my best guy friends. We didn't really do much and it was a relaxing afternoon. I just went to pick him up from the train station and in return he took outfit shots for me. We also bought some snacks and he accidentally littered while taking pictures, hence the above picture of me picking up his empty Cotton Candy bag. :P

I'm excited for this weekend! It's packed and I barely have time to write this post! I just got back from a dim sum lunch with my family (how asian, I know) and I'm about to head out to a picnic my friend's boyfriend is having. Then I have to work all day tomorrow and, of course, watch fireworks at night. I'll be sure to catch up with all of you once this weekend is over. It's hectic but fun. :)

Oh, and did I mention that this is now my favorite bag in the whole entire world? I'm the pickiest person when it comes to bags, especially since I was never really a fan of them, despite their practical uses. After searching for YEARS for a bag that was perfect I came across this one and fell in love. I'm going to wear a hole in it, I swear.

I was in the middle of rolling my eyes since this specific photographer loves capturing me at the most inopportune moments. :P Don't forget to join the Sway Bowler Hat Giveaway! Have an amazing fourth of July weekend you guys!

Let Your Waves Crash Down On Me

Happy July! Here are some more picture from my trip to the beach! I think I might have taken my camera too close to the water (daredevil - aka careless) but hopefully I didn't damage it. I did my best to keep it from being sprayed. I could have sworn I got crazy looks from strangers when they saw me entering the water with my DSLR.

Is anyone else obsessed with photo booths? Whenever I see one I'm automatically tempted to walk inside of it. I've dragged many friends along with me. I say it's worth all $3 to capture wonderful memories :)

I'm gonna go watch Toy Story 3 for the second time tonight and I can't wait! I swear, I'm obsessed with that movie.
