Light Blue Camouflaging + Cavities

Forever 21 Denim Jacket (similar), Daydreamer Dress c/o For Elyse (similar), Black Combat Boots c/o LuLu*s (similar)Urban Outfitters Black Mini-Backpack (similar), H&M Thigh High Socks (similar)

I just thoroughly brushed my teeth and then flossed with the utmost attention to detail. Then I sat down in front of my computer and popped a Warheads in my freshly cleaned mouth.

Perhaps this is why my most recent dentist visit resulted in five cavities. Or perhaps it's because I avoided going to the dentist for the past three years once I started living on my own. Or perhaps it's a combination of all of these things. Or perhaps it's really the fault of the kids in my building for not wanting to climb up four flights of stairs to knock on my door. The amount of Halloween candy I have lying around is just atrocious but also delicious. Deliciously atrocious.

T-Shirt Weather in November

Gap Black Overalls (similar, similar), StyleMint Colorblock Pocket Tee (similar), Urban Outfitters Suede Fringe Crossbody (similar, similar, similar), Converse White Chuck Taylor Sneakers

This weekend was absolutely beautiful and I can't get over the fact that I was able to walk around in just a thin t-shirt without feeling like my arms were going to freeze and fall off. November, is this really you? Are you feeling okay? Because if you are, and you're just having a ball in higher temperatures, then I like this new you.

But at the same time, you're also making it pretty hard to believe that the holidays are only a couple of weeks away. How can you fall into a Thanksgiving food coma if you're not also running around the city bundled in twenty layers and fifty scarves? I'm going to have to swap out the Turkey with some surf and turf and hit the beach if you keep it up.

Always Time to Squeeze in a Nap

H&M Green Plaid Shirt (similar), Green Beanie (similar, similar), Gray Knit Skirt (similar), White Striped Low-Back Dress c/o LuLu*s (similar), Black Lace-Up Combat Boots c/o LuLu*s (similar), Urban Outfitters Black Mini-Backpack (similar), What Time? Watch c/o Rakani (similar)

I took two naps today.

Two. Naps. For me that's quite the impossible feat. Well, to be fair I can pretty much fall asleep anywhere; I sleep lying on the hardwood floor, I sleep in the middle of meetings, I sleep on the subway, I sleep standing on the subway...but those are all incidents where I find myself sleeping by accident. Unplanned naps. But these two naps today? They were conscious, "I'm-too-lazy-to-be-in-a-vertical-position" naps. And when these conscious naps happen, I usually wake up in a horrible, grumpy, "I'm-going-to-kick-someone-in-the-face-pretty-damn-hard" kind of mood.

But lately, I'm been waking up in a "the-heavens-above-are-singing-me-a-song-they-wrote-exclusively-for-me-and-its-a-top-five-hit-single-blowing-up-all-your-local-radio-stations" kind of mood and it's blowing my mind. Like, when have I become someone who enjoys napping? Does it come with aging and just accepting both my (1) laziness and (2) need for additional rest?

Now excuse me while I go contemplate a third nap.

Winter Cravings | $75 and Under

The more I stare at this list, the more I think to myself..."I must have all of these things." And then I enter this dark hole of online shopping mania where suddenly I'm filling up carts with all these nice things I want, only to x-out of all the tabs and walk away from my computer with nothing. Sometimes it seems like some sort of therapy to sort out my Pinterest-filled head of useless artifacts to throw around my home and all over my body. Or useless artifacts that will end up covered in Bubba's pee. But regardless, here I am, craving away and wondering why I didn't include a Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich on this list.

Because right now, that would be dope.

Sharp Edges + Treating Yourself

Madewell Olive Green Romper (similar), H&M Gray Open Cardigan (similar), House of Harlow 1960 Arabella Suede Boots (similar), Madewell Socks (similar), Urban Outfitters Black Mini-Backpack (similar), Stacking Triangle Ring c/o Onecklace

Now that it's November, it's officially the holiday season. Well, at least that's what all the marketing being thrown in my face is saying, and I'm not too mad about it because who doesn't love being joyous and shit? But it's also getting me pretty excited to treat the people in my life to little surprises here and there. I've never been one for going all out with gifts, but I love the incentive to do more little things like taking time to visit friends in another city or grabbing coffee with someone you haven't seen in a while. That holiday daze, na'mean?

But let's start with treating YOSELF (I've been rewatching Parks & Rec lately since Jeremy has never seen it and for some reason I'm more addicted than I was the first round). I've been loving Onecklace for special somethings since I first tried them out (mainly because their team is just the best to work with; like, top notch people), and while gift-giving was on my mind I couldn't resist when it came to this beauty of a ring. My love for simple, gold jewelry kicked in and soon it was on my finger flashing people on the streets of NYC like "Hay!".  I couldn't be more in love with the style and quality but the one thing is that the point of the triangle is just a little too sharp and I'm pretty sure I poked myself in the chin with it one too many times. But I'm stubborn about things I love so perhaps I'll invest in a chinguard (is that even a thing?).

But stay tuned because I made seriously the cutest customized Onecklace necklace for Jeremy's brother and sister-in-law and YOU'RE GONNA DIE SEEING IT. It tears at my heartstrings.

You Do You, November

Kimchi Blue Fit + Flare Pink Dress, Amour Vert Cotton Bomber Jacket (similar, similar), Converse Chuck Taylor White Sneakers, Urban Outfitters Black Mini-Backpack (similar)

Guys, I am all about November and everything it's about. I know it signals winter approaching as well as the end of your social life as you proceed to stay in the warmth of your home with your one and only (Netflix), but I've always found something so romantic about November. Granted, I'm a little bit biased since it's my birthday month, but the air is so crisp, the leaves are giving their last breath, and there's nothing quite like trying to hide underneath layers of blankets to stay warm because you refuse to walk across the room to turn on the heating. I LIVE FOR THIS WEATHER.

But just wait, a few weeks later and I'll be complaining like a butthole when the weather starts dipping back down to the 40's.
