JennifHsieh is a space for my rambling thoughts and snaps of my everyday style. I'm based in Astoria, Queens and I share a home with my two derpy cats and my equally derpy fiancé.

Chipmunk

Excuse my lousy appearance but i feel like a chipmunk (as if my cheeks couldn't get any bigger). I'm currently holding an ice pack up to my swelling cheek and feeling like a bum. I swear, the easiest part of getting four wisdom teeth taken out is definitely the actual surgery. I passed out right away and when I woke up it was done and I felt no pain (I just felt a little bit drunk and I was stumbling out of the room). Now I'm constantly switching gauze pads, taking multiple pills, and gazing longingly at what used to be my midnight snack...chicken tequitos. :(

Man, I'm even too lazy to type. I sat in front of the TV all afternoon watching episode after episode of Sonny With a Chance and Wizards of Waverly Place because I was too lazy to change the channel or shut off the TV.  What have I become??? But now I'm listening to Grizzly Bear and The National and on loads of pain killers so I'm feeling more like myself.

I think I'll spend tomorrow bedridden and reading all of your lovely blogs. :)

  3. sounds like my experience! you don't even look puffy - seriously. let's compare photos. actually lets not, because that would be embarrassing.

Just get some nice rest and live it up! milk it for all it's worth. ps i like the glasses!

  7. Aw...I remember the feeling. :( I couldn't even watch TV, just sleep and drool and bleed and be generally disgusting. I wish I could show you my chipmunk cheeks. They were enormous and took forever (about 2 weeks) to go down because I didn't ice them.
I hope you feel better soon! Enjoy your lazy day tomorrow!

  18. The pain will soon pass. When I took mine I ws awake, but feeling no pain... I remember the dentist saying it would be fine... well, after I took them I felt good, but when I got home... I felt horrible :P

2 days I was good again. And the best thing about this is that you can have as much ice cream as you want, and I am totally crazy about ice cream :P

    Get well soon, Jen.

  58. I only had two extracted at a time, but each side of my face swelled up to the size of a baseball! It does kind of suck - but I also love any excuse to sit around in my pajamas, and watch movies and eat ice cream! Wait till day 3, it'll start to get better.
