One of Those Nights
Sigh.
Do you ever have one of those nights where you just start thinking a little bit too much? Nothing seems to fit into place and everything seems to be missing. I tend to live too much in the past when I really should just let go and move on. I always think, "What if?", instead of being content with what I have.
I just need to know.
Maybe it's because I'm still a little bit sick. Maybe it's because I have so much to do even though Spring Break has officially begun. Maybe I'm just sleep-deprived. Maybe i'm just a little bit lost.
(coat forever 21, cardigan h&m, lace shirt tj maxx, belt forever 21, jeans delia*s, moccasins minnetonka, ring forever 21)
Hopefully I'll be over this slump soon.
I promise I'll post more over Spring Break and I'll get around to catching up on all of your blogs. I'm missing you guys.
p.s. I was really happy and silly when I took these pictures (so excuse the contrast between the pictures and the post). More than half the shots ended up ridiculous so I decided to post one of the silly ones for you guys. I'm sure you can tell which one it is.
I get a bad case of the 'What If's?' all the time. So annoying, but luckily it passes. I hope things get better for you =)
ReplyDelete:( I hope you get all your questions answered soon missy. Love the outfit, I can tell why you were so happy in the pictures.

I hope you get past the what-ifs soon. I know sometimes you just need to dwell on things to move past them, but there's a fine line. Just don't miss out on the life that's happening around you.
ReplyDeleteI love that lace top!
Love your pictures- you're so adorable! And you're not the only one- I'm always thinking "what if" also. You'll make it over this slump- take a day and just do you! Lounge in bed, watch movies, paint your nails, do things that you love and make you happy and you'll get over the slump.

ReplyDeleteaww jen<3 i get those nights too...especially late at night when i can't sleep, but i think looking at the past is good sometimes because you see just how much you've grown as a person. and talking to those people just reaffirms why you left them. don't worry too much jen! i'm always an email (or even phone call, you have my number) away!
ReplyDeletei love that outfit! so scandalous with that lace top! hehe :)
you still look cute as always even though you're lacking sleep or watever you're dealing with :D
ReplyDeletehave some fun in spring break ! i cant wait till mine !
everybody is entitled for a "down time" where everything seems wrong :) i've had A LOT of those days :p but your outfit certainly doesn't show that. I love the lace tank peeking from underneath the cardigan. there's a subtle sexiness to it :) and the destroyed jeans added the perfect masculine/casual vibe to the look :) hope you're enjoying the spring break!

aw i hope you feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteI tend to start dwelling on the "what if's" of the "I should have's" when I get stressed. I've been doing that a lot lately when it comes to school- what if I'd taken a couple months off, I should have waited to graduate, what if I'd done something differently. the truth is I can't change anything now...but sometimes it's just a way of venting I guess.
ReplyDeleteby the way, I LOVE that lace top. so jealous!
oh. i totally know how you feel!!! i have those what-if moments too!! :D don't stress too much on it, dear! :D

ReplyDeleteyou know what? i just thought about my 'what ifs' and 'if onlys' while i was driving home today... but i immediately brushed them off... because life shouldn't be lived in regrets. *wink*
ReplyDeletebut i know how you're feeling though..i tend to be like that sometimes..where you can't put a finger on what is specifically wrong... hang in there, it'll come to you..:D

Oh this is cute and casual! I love the lace top peeking out and the belted cardigan! Haha you're adorable! Is it weird that I overthink every single day? Especially when I'm lying in bed, that's when my mind is the clearest (yet the most "crowded" with thoughts). We all have these moments, don't worry you'll be okay! It could be a lot of things: monotony, frustration, boredom, stress...those are all factors in my case. It's almost spring break, chin up :)
ReplyDeleteMy dear Jen ! Ohh I'm sorry to hear that . Well , you often think 'What if' and I often think 'Why' so they're pretty much the same . I hope everything's going to be better because you're such a sweet girl and I hate it when you're sad cause you just don't deserve it :( So cheer up dear ! Talk to you soon ! xoxoox
ReplyDeleteI definetely know what you mean. I've felt a little bit down and uninspired lately. Don't worry, everyone goes through those moments.

Just to let you know...I have those nights all the time. They seem to come hand in hand with nights where I'm plagued with insomnia. I find that keeping myself occupied with different things, and refusing to allow myself to become bored in any way, shape, or form keeps thoughts like those at bay.
ReplyDeleteLove your moccasins, by the way - I'm searching for a pair myself!! :)
oh girl, i experience the same nights as well, especially when the insomnie come to strike. i really love your lace shirt! so pretty! <3
