And As We Breathe the Waves Crash
On New Year's Day, Jeremy and I decided to take a impromptu trip to the beach right as the sun was setting. It's one of my favorite places in the world so it was a great way to start off 2011. There were only a few people around taking pictures of the snow along the shore. Someone had even built a snowman on the sand which was kind of adorable.
I decided to start off the New Year with a simple look which I feel embodies my personal style that I've developed and settled into during 2010. Clean and fresh; no make-up, no accessories, no tights...which, in hindsight, was a poor decision on my part. But don't worry, I kept myself warm with a scarf and Jeremy's hat. Not shown is the fleece blanket I had wrapped around my lower half.

You're brave to go out with no tights! I really like the simple look-it just feels so nice and fresh! That scarf looks cozy!

ReplyDeleteWhen I get my butt over there in September, we are so making it to the beach! I'm curious to see if California beaches really are the worth all this overpriced...ness. This is totally you Jen! I cannot believe you went without tights, but it just makes for more reason to cuddle closer ;) I love blue on blue too.

Looks fun but freezing!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! :)
I love this look for the new year! Girly and casual. Normally I don't like outfits with that kind of boot in them, but I completely adore them here!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously great boots!! Were you freezing??
ReplyDeleteYour hat and scarf are so cute! Though I can image it must've been a tad cold with no tights.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a blanket...I was starting to feel cold for you! It's such a cute style though. I love simple and fresh looks. I keep thinking about going makeup free, but then I would need to actually sleep so I don't have dark circles.
