Day 2: D.C.
I think this day was definitely my favorite day of the entire trip. I haven't been to D.C. since I was probably 10 years old and I don't remember much of it except for my parents arguing about the traffic. Jeremy and I took the subway into the city and then we just spent the whole day roaming around being tourists. Luckily for us the weather was gorgeous outside (although my bare legs were hating on me during the morning before the sun came out).
While walking around we asked a random Asian lady to take our picture. Little did we know, she would turn into our personal photographer! She kept on changing up our poses and even told us to take some fake candids on a bench to capture "real life moments". We definitely picked the right person passing by to take our photos. She was pretty damn adorable and I got to return the favor by taking some shots of her as well.

OH. And did I mention we saw Obama? Actually, that's a lie...but only sort of. We're pretty sure his giant posse of black SUVs passed right by us since the police were blocking off the road so they wouldn't have to stop the car. Unfortunately the windows were tinted and there were too many SUVs for me to figure out which one he was in. I guess mission accomplished for his security guards?
We stopped by the Smithsonian Museum as well and checked out the showing of Arabia IMAX 3D. I was so exhausted I fell asleep for about five minutes of it but the other 35 minutes of it were fantastic. We ended the night by taking amazing pictures during the sunset and getting dinner at an Indian restaurant near DuPont Circle. I wish we could go back to D.C. next weekend since apparently it's the National Cherry Blossom Festival! Next year...maybe? :)
