Try to Turn the Tables

My spring break so far has been kind of insane but I've been loving every second of it. On Saturday I headed down to the Seaside (yes, from Jersey Shore) St. Patrick's Day Parade & Bar Crawl. I'm not exactly sure why they had it a week early but all the beaches in New Jersey are having them on different weekends - probably to attract more people to attend. I was definitely on a beer craze and by the end of the night I began to grow a mini-beer belly. If only I was more of a mixed drink girl but I love my beer. One of my favorite bars that day was Captain Hook's Bar, mainly because of the chill environment. There were pool tables, hockey tables, arcade games, a live band, and the main bar looked like a pirate ship. Definitely going back there again. Oh, and tons of men in kilts? Pretty fantastic. If you follow me on Twitter you probably saw some of my tweets from that day.

On Sunday I took some time to just walk around all over my university with one of my friends. It was amazing just enjoying the weather and not being in front of a computer screen all day or constantly texting people. I put my phone on silence for once and it was so liberating. It was one of the most stress-free days I've had in a really, really long time and it was just what I needed right now. In fact, you should all stop reading my blog post and go outside for five minutes. Take a walk. Get some beautiful, fresh air. Well, of course unless it's freezing cold where you are. Then you should just stay inside and snuggle in your blankets. :)

  1. I'm a teeny bit sad that you're not enjoying your Spring break over here in CA, but I'm so so so so so glad you're having a wonderful and stress-free time over there! You've been killing your posts lately! Every new one that comes along becomes a new favorite, and this one is no exception! Every time you wear this dress, I feel remorse for not snatching it up at H&M, but I got one that's similar hehe <3 Love love looooveeee ya!

  4. Very cute outfit! I've been meaning to try a sweater over a dress for a while, I really like how you did it. And those flats are adorable! (By the way, being a mixed drink girl does have disadvantages...for one, they're way more expensive than beer! Haha)

  5. A very simple but cute outfit! :)
The sun has been making some peeps here and there, I can't wait to be able to wear dresses without donning 2 layers of tights for warmth!

  6. is that the striped dress from h&m with buttons down the front!?!?!? I tried it on last weekend and I LOVED IT but I needed one size up so the buttons would all button! but they didn't have it. so i walked away. it was terribly tragic!
