Following Washington's Footsteps

Jeremy and I ventured to Washington Rock State Park in North Jersey to take these pictures before continuing with the rest of our plans later that day. We went there together once before but it was too dark to snap any shots. My favorite part about this park is the fact that you can see the most breath-taking view of New Jersey. I wish I captured it on camera, but for now you'll just have to trust me. You can see the entire New York City Skyline on the left side. And you can see the Rutgers University football stadium (in Central Jersey) on the right side, which is an hour away from the city.

George Washington himself stood in this Park to monitor the British Troop movements in 1777. How crazy is that? My favorite part about living on the east coast is definitely all of the history surrounding it.

I received this cardigan from Sugarlips Apparel the other day and I'm in love. It's such a light and breezy fabric so it's easy for me to bring it around for those warm summer days and cool summer nights. Summer staple? DEFINITELY.

Also, I'll be leaving for New Orleans tomorrow morning! It's going to be an early start (I have to leave my house at 3:30 AM) and I haven't even started thinking about packing. I'm super excited to see all of my Circle K International friends though. I haven't really had a lot of time to do any community service lately so I'm super excited for the first half of the week. It'll be full of Habitat for Humanity builds and March of Dimes mural painting! I'll be sure to come back with plenty of pictures. Bourbon Street, here I come!
