Target Journal
I thought moving into New York City would mean having a lack of giant retail stores like Target nearby. Lo and behold, my roommate pointed out to me that there was one only 15 blocks away from our apartment. We made the trek together last week to pick up some random necessities after work. While resisting all the clothes, which was surprisingly easy to do, I came across this journal by The Curiosity Shoppe that I absolutely fell in love with. I know it's a little silly to spend $10 on a journal, but I adore it with all my heart (and it's a nice little accessory).
I used to have a sketchbook and a journal in college to write in from time to time. I was always too busy for either of them unless I was extremely upset and looking for a creative outlet to vent to. Now that I'm living on my own for the first time (for real), I thought it would be fun to document everything in writing and sketches. I'll write what I feel and I'll draw what I see. It'll be something amazing to look back on in ten or twenty years.
Ahh, what a cool dress! And I love spending money on sketchbooks and journals, so I totally get it. It looks so cool as an accessory. xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful pattern of your dress! Great outfit!

The first two pictures could easily be out of a catalog! You're such a great model.
ReplyDeleteAlso, absolutely amazing sketches. Maybe I should get a journal to draw/write in...
For some reason, all railings that are by oceans are painted that exact colour.
ReplyDeleteAlso I can never resist notebooks. They're the first thing I look at in any bookstore.

I love this dress! when I looked at it on my phone, it just looked like a cute chevron dress, but now that I'm on my computer, I just love the "pixelation" on it. Did you remove the image from your sketchbook? because I wanted to comment on how cool your drawings were! :)
ReplyDeletei love your dress.:)

Aww! Sketchbooks are great time capsules, though, just like you said. Fill it up with lots of great things! :) It's quite cute, and $10 for such a cute one isn't aaaall so bad. I MEAN IT'S FOR MEMORIES SO OBVIOUSLY IT NEEDS TO BE PURCHASED. Totally justifies it.
ReplyDeleteThe print on your dress is looovely!

I really LOVE this cute dress of yours! The print is so interesting! And just by looking at your drawings, you're definitely a talented illustrator! I also have a slight obsession with journals, although I use it more for my ideas and brainstorming while I'm riding the train! Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog.
