The Miami Diaries: Oh! Mexico Restaurant
As I mentioned in my last blog post, my friends and I treated ourselves to some quality Mexican food over on Española Way. Oh! Mexico is one of the first restaurants you see when you come across the street and our stomachs were already grumbling as we walked past all the food sitting on the outdoor tables. Grabbing dinner here was the first time we came across a place with good service as the server would continuously check up on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.
We were all satisfied with the dishes we chose (Nira got enchiladas, Monisha got vegetable fajitas, and I got carnita tacos), but there are two items of the menu we all fell in love with. The first was the guacamole. We all agreed it was the best guacamole we've ever had - it was fresh, delicious, and it had just the right amount of spice which gave it an extra kick, without setting our taste buds aflame.
The second item? Their margaritas. We decided to get an entire pitcher to split between the three of us and, instead of opting for the usual flavors of Strawberry or Mango, we settled on the Tamarindo margaritas. The Tamarind is a tropical fruit found in Africa and it gives the drink a little bit of sourness to balance out the sweet. Could not have asked for a better combination of flavors. Typing up this blog post actually makes me want to teleport back for dinner tonight. Anyone wanna meet me there?
Oh my gosh, all that food looks glorious. Also, just saw your previous post, and that street seems so charming. Glad to know your trip was a success!

I don't even like Mexican food, but I could get behind those tacos. And the margaritas!
ReplyDeleteYour food photography is stunning! A famous magazine is going to scoop you up and put all your skills to use. I can see it now - Jennifer Hsieh flying all around the world to sample the most mouthwatering dishes while wearing exquisite fashion from head to toe. Mark my words...this is happening.

Is it weird to say that this Mexican food looks much fancier than most I see (of course, all the places around here are local mom and pop joints so...) Looks yummy though.
