Yesterday, Jeremy and I escaped from the city for a few hours and took the train to the adorable village of Dobbs Ferry. We rented bikes for the day and rode along the Old Croton Aqueduct, passing through nearby towns that were all just as adorable and beautiful as the next. I've never realized how close by little escapes like this were and the houses in Dobbs Ferry all had incredible views of the Hudson.
I'm pretty sure this area of New York is close to perfect in my books. A quick train ride directly into the city, gorgeous views of the Hudson river (can you say kayaking?), small town community feel, and beautiful bike paths. The only thing was how eerily quiet it was, especially the closer we got to Irvington and Sleepy Hollow. No wonder Washington Irving, who lived in a town nearby, was inspired to write such emotionally dark stories. ;)
i am in love with your denim dress! :)

Oh my god, the scenery. Also you and your outfit, which is the first time I've seen a non-bottoms denim thing that I actually LIKED, but the SCENERY.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nifty bracelet! And a cool outfit altogether.
ReplyDeleteLove how you paired everything together in this outfit! It looks like a beautiful place to go bike riding :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous. Everything. A bike in your photos? Fabulous. That bracelet? Fabulous. The whole thing!
ReplyDeleteThat tree in the background is stunning and I love your photos!
ReplyDeleteThat wristlet is perfect, looks like such a relaxing fall day!
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures! Your outfit is so cute! I love Dobbs Ferry! I live 15 minutes away, so I go there all the time. There's a great sushi place there that I went to two days ago called Sushi Mike's!

This looks like the PERFECT date & getaway from the city!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, these photos are absolutely fantastic! Seriously- I probably sound like a mom (a creepy mom, since I don't actually know you)- but I'm just so touched and proud with how much you've blossomed over the past year! I know you wrote previously about how it was hard for you to be in photographs and how you felt self-conscious, but you seriously glow these days! Really, you could be a catalogue model. It's so awesome to see you work it in all these fabulous outfits!
ReplyDeleteOk, gushing over :)
