Everytime I See Your Bubbly Face

These shots were taken when the weather was still warm. One week it's in the 80's and now it's in the 60s. I guess summer decided to stop by for a bit then left. Why is the weather so bipolar??? It's throwing me off. I have to leave my summer dresses behind and start layering again. It's not too bad though since I kind of enjoy layering. I have to admit, the summer weather made me miss the chillier weather a little. I'm jealous of all you guys who are just entering fall. It's definitely my favorite season. :)

Oh, and to be completely honest with you guys...I stole these bubbles. I'm pretty sure they were unwanted from a care package and recklessly abandoned in the lounge on my floor. Therefore, I adopted them as my own.

So I'm going to be making some changes to my blog (if I ever find enough time to work on this thing - I know my amount of updating is pretty pathetic right now). I definitely can't wait for it to all be finished...hopefully by this weekend. I also have a ton of outfits I never got around to posting...so BE EXCITED! :)

and now I'm off to grab some lunch with some of my favorites, do some Accounting homework (early for once!), and eat some Peeps from easter. nom nom nom stale peeps.

Of Aviators and Antlers

Of Aviators and Antlers

Ever since I entered college over a year ago I started to develop eye allergies. I used to be one of those allergy-free people who walk outside without any worries. Now I'm one of those people you see with red eyes who's scratching them furiously. I know, I know...I shouldn't itch my eyes but the temporary relief is just that good. I'm blinking extra hard right now to replace my scratching but it's not the same. Oh, pollen, what have I ever done to you?

While I was taking these pictures my photographer and I found these aviators on the ground. (I'm dirty, I know). One of the lens was popped out but instead of putting it back in I decided to wear them as is; they make me feel like a modern day pirate.

Then I found some branches and decided to wear them as antlers. I felt like an asian lady gaga. Now that I think about it...this was a pretty strange photo shoot. I'm pretty sure the weird pictures outweighed the normal ones. :P

Oh, oh, oh! And before I forget...THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Diane, Jenny, Rosie and Nookie! You guys are the sweetest girls around for nominating me for IFB's Blogger Spotlight! And Jenny, I had no idea teddy bears ate toast. :P This is beyond amazing and I seriously have the best readers out there. No doubt about it.

There Must Be Something More

So, I'm head over heels in love with my new shorts from the H&M Garden Collection. :) Although they tend to make my butt look big, I can't get over the paper bag waist! Even my waitress from a restaurant I went to that night complimented me on my shorts. On the other hand, some guy I know who lives on my floor told me "the 1940's called...they want their shorts back".

(Of course, the obligatory silly picture for you guys. There were a few crazier ones but i'm saving those for an upcoming post.)

Sorry for the picture heavy post. I just couldn't narrow them down to a few since I loved the cherry blossoms in all the pictures! I swear, there's nothing that makes me happier than seeing the trees full of pink and white. They remind me that spring is finally here.

I might take a trip into the city this Saturday. One of my best friends has to go to the Met for one her classes and I'm tagging along since I haven't been there in a really, really long time. I can't wait to bring my camera and be a tourist, even though I've already been to the city countless times. :)

Oh! And a quick shout out to the lovely Selma from Lilylicious Bisous for the I Love Your Blog Award! :)

On My Own

It's beyond beautiful out today and can you believe it's supposed to be like this for the rest of the week? Everyone's studying outside instead of sitting indoors. Unfortunately I need to work on my laptop so I'm inside with my fan on. Hopefully later I'll be able to venture out for a photo shoot with my photographer before the sun sets.

So I took these shots on my own. My photographer was still still sleeping (he sleeps in quite often) so I decided to venture out with my handy dandy tripod and took some shots. I figured I'd get used to taking self-portraits again since I won't be living in the same dorm as him next year. I never have time for my photography anymore since I'm not taking my photography class anymore so it was nice bonding with my camera (who still needs a name, any suggestions? My last one was named Johann since Johann Pachelbel wrote the Canon, and I have a Canon). :)

Back to my statistics! I've gotta pull up my grade and finish this computer assignment so I can go frolic outside later. There shouldn't be so much work to do when the weather is nice. :(

Uhhh...

So I don't think any of you guys realized...but the outfit in my last post was supposed to be an April Fool's joke. :P  Some of my friends saw it and instantly started laughing or thought it was atrocious (which was the intended response), which makes me wonder...did you guys mean all those positive comments you left?

I mean, style isn't a definite thing and everyone has their own interpretations of it. Maybe some of you guys actually did like aspects of the outfit I posted. Or did you guys find yourself in an awkward situation where you didn't want to offend me so just left a neutral comment? Personally though, I just put together a lot of silly things (which explains the pigtails and the badass shades) and tried to look as ridiculous as possible. I did try to stick to the same color theme so it was subtle enough (except for that cardigan obviously) so maybe I pulled it off? One of my best friends compared me to Ugly Betty! Walking outside was a pain though; I put on a giant trench coat to hide my outfit. :P

Anyway, I just wanted to say a quick thanks to all the tags and awards I got in the past month: Best Blog Award from The Fashion Whore, the Cherry on Top Award from Cassiopeia and the Sunshine Award from Chloe (Butterfly Cupcakes and Daffodils) and Allison (Last Boat Leaving). Also, I got "Bag Tagged" by both Sharon (elisharon) and Cassiopeia! I have to admit, I only really use my bag for going to class so it's full of books, pens, and pencils, but I'll show you guys anyway! If I'm going out I just shove everything into random pockets.

(statistics binder, accounting textbook, sketchbook, orbit gum, $10, cell phone, iPod, hairband, pencil sharpener, planner, important cards, pens/pencil, dorm room key)

Oh, and this is for Lyssa (I didn't forget!):

p.s. Next time I'll have an actual outfit. Promise :)

Orange You Glad It's Spring? (April Fool's Outfit!)

It's beautiful outside; the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, people are throwing Frisbees outside, and I'm inside studying for my Accounting Exam tonight. I also had my Statistics Exam earlier in the morning (which i completely bombed). I can't wait for today to just be over since the rest of the weekend is supposed to be gorgeous as well. Sigh. At least it's spring! I love seeing the flowers starting to bloom and green in the trees again. Hopefully this April won't be full of too many showers.

(wool vest cardigan free people, floral dress delia*s, native american blanket skirt ebay, tights HUE, giraffe flats borrowed: my roommate, belt h&m, sunglasses borrowed: my photographer)

Oh! Guess what? I got an internship for the next school year as a Photographer for our Student Life's Media and Marketing team! I'm beyond excited and I can't wait. :) I've gotta touch up on my photography over the summer, haha.

Well I better get back to studying so I don't bomb this exam as well. I promise I'll be around more this weekend and catch up on blogging!

p.s. what do you think of my awesome outfit? :D
