Too Cold to Function

Note to readers: I'm singing in the above picture. Thanks, Monisha.

Lately it's been so cold outside that self-portraits have become almost impossible. Probably more torturous than impossible. Setting up a tripod and standing outside in the bitter cold is nowhere as appealing as sitting on the couch with the TV and heat on. Not only that, but after a night of "celebrating" my birthday...my tripod (Donald) is no longer functioning. I ordered a new tripod earlier this morning from B&H that's smaller and lighter (and better quality) so hopefully it'll last me more than just a few months. Until then my outfit pictures will be sparse - unless I'm able to enslave some friends to stand out in the cold with me.

(Coat American Rag, Scarf Urban Outfitters, Sweater Topshop, Black Long Sleeve Gap, Jeans Forever 21, Boots DSW, Bag Urban Outfitters, Necklace from Jeremy)

This Topshop sweater is one of the few things in my closet that I actually splurged on. My favorite thing about it has to be the rusty color of the fabric. I usually have a hard time trying to style it since whatever I wear underneath will show through the holes. I was lazy and uncreative decided to keep it simple and just went with all black underneath.

I better get back to work. I have a million and one things due this week and, as usual, I've kept all of it for the last minute. Not only that, I always offer to do more than I can handle since I'm a pushover and I worry that I'm not contributing enough. This just results in me contributing more than necessary and getting stressed out. I definitely can't wait until this weekend. I have a lot to look forward to. :)

P.S. I entered in Chictopia's Olsenboye contest. You should make my day and add my entry as your favorite! ;)

  8. I really like that coat. You look so cozy and warm and chic! I like that, despite the cold, you haven't fallen prey to becoming "college." You know, sweatshirts and sweatpants tucked into Uggs. Yuck!

  18. it's been raining for almost 2 weeks now here too..so i can't take outfit shots outside too often. even with your indoor shoot and your seemingly non-functional mood, your outfit is still simple and super chic. <3
