April Showers
So I hope all of you enjoyed Jeremy's blog takeover yesterday for April Fool's Day! He wrote a blog post mimicking me and took pictures using his interpretation of some of my typical poses. I'm going to miss seeing his graffiti over my blog banner - maybe it'll reappear in a year? :P
While taking pictures of him and watching him pose, I realized I must look ridiculous when I'm taking outfit pictures in public. Moving from one pose to another is pretty awkward looking if I do say so myself. At least the awkwardness doesn't translate over to the final picture....for the most part. You guys don't really see those pictures except in my outtakes on my Facebook Page.
(American Rag Coat, Gap Cardigan, Forever 21 T-Shirt, Forever 21 Belt, Urban Outfitters Skirt, HUE Tights, Minnetonka Moccasins)
I always forget how much it rains in April and I always forget to wear proper footwear when I'm heading outside. I went into the city yesterday and my flats were drenched by the time I caught a train back to campus. I'm also very stubborn when it comes to bringing an umbrella with me. Carrying around a wet umbrella can be a hassle so I resort to grabbing a newspaper with me as I run into the rain to hold over my head. Obviously, that only leaves me with a drenched newspaper over my drenched self.
Don't get me wrong though, rain isn't the worst thing in the world. I love it when I'm stuck indoors with work to do. Or when I don't have anywhere to go so I can run around outside without worrying about my hair or my clothes getting soaked. One of my favorite feelings in the world is just standing in the pouring rain. :)
