Stripes at the Shore
This has been a fun yet exhausting week. One of my best friends from high school, Phebe, came to visit NJ for a week. She had moved to Texas after our high school graduation and I haven't seen her for the past three weeks. If any of you remember, I used to have a fashion blog with her about two years ago (as you can see I've developed into my own style over the years - no laughing!). She caught a flight back to Texas this morning and I'm finally ready to get some sleep in and get some work done. Maybe I'll sneak a visit to Texas next year to visit her. :)
Gap Jacket, Striped Top
Levi Corduroy Shorts via Urban Outfitters
This is one of my favorite outfits lately just because of how effortless it was. My favorite outfits are usually my most simple outfits - or maybe it's because I have nice memories associated with this outfit. Jeremy and I took a trip down to the shore before any of the crazy beach-goers could populate it with their beach chairs and tanning sessions. I love tanning on the beach (although not currently as I am suffering from a horrible stomach sunburn) but my favorite beach visits are on the cloudiest of days where there are only a few stray visitors walking along the boardwalk.
So cute!!!

Your striped top from the Gap and denim Levi shorts make a nice casual outfit for over a swimsuit at the beach. It looks great on you (cute).
ReplyDeleteThe New Jersey shore is at it's finest just before, and just after, the season gets into full swing. Looks like a fun visit! Loving the cute, subtle knotting of your shirt. I hope you and your friend had a blast!
ReplyDeleteAw, I liked your other blog with your best friend! Nah, you were still very stylish back then too! It's always great to see old friends! Lovee that gap jacket.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Jen! I feel like the background of these photos are from like a UO catalog :) I've been tying my Gap striped tees up like that too. They're like a pseudo-crop top hehe :) If you fly to Texas then you might as well stop by California ;) <3 Miss you!
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit!

ReplyDeleteP.S. I agree with you about the beach, it's the best when it's cloudy and there are literally no people there!
adorable jen :)
