After my birthday festivities last Friday, my two best friends from middle school decided to stay with me in the city for the entire weekend. It still amazes me that we've been able to put up with each other for a decade now, but then again I'm not that surprised since, to some extent, we shaped our personalities around each other. No matter how many times we might drift due to our changing lives and new environments, we always manage to come back together in the end. Philly, NYC, and New Jersey always seem so close because they're connected on various levels; however, we only just realized that we are all currently living in different states.
Living in the city, I've stopped doing touristy things like going to central park, visiting the empire state building, and trying to recreate romantic moments in grand central (who am I kidding, I still do that every single time I transfer subways there). So it's always nice when friends come to visit since I get to indulge in silly little things like visiting the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Plaza. Also, I only just realized how festive I look in my red skirt and green scarf. But then again, YOLO. Right?
Lovely photos. I like your horse shirt (that sounds weird, but it's a compliment!).
ReplyDeleteAlso, I hope you washed your hands after touching the chair in the subway!

ReplyDeleteI was so totally gonna comment on the lovely Christmas vibe your outfit has, Jen! But it's a classy Christmas vibe. Not a tacky light-up sweater kind of vibe. ;) Just subtle enough to spread that holiday joy~ that green scarf is just the most lovely color!
ReplyDeleteAwe, I'm glad you were able to reunite with your friendsies and still pick up from where you left off. :)
