The Move to Astoria

Gap Striped Shirt (similar), Beige Skirt c/o LuLu*s (similar), Tan Flats c/o Blowfish Shoes (similar)

This past weekend was physically and mentally exhausting but, you guys, it was so worth it. Jeremy told me that moving was on the top of his "worst things in the world" list and I'm inclined to agree with him to some extent since my entire body still aches.

After almost four long days of packing and unpacking, climbing up and down five stories of stairs, assembling never-ending IKEA furniture, and shopping for necessities, we're finally starting to feel like we're settling in. The final piece of the puzzle is definitely the sofa that we ordered and now were just playing the waiting game. Can't wait to share pictures with you guys once we figure out what to do with the rest of my clothes. I've already donated or sold four bags of clothes and shoes and it doesn't seem to be enough with our tiny closet. Time to let go of all the memories that hold me back from parting with even the least worn items.

  1. You look so so cute! I may have to pick your brain about Astoria because it's on my list of possible places to live when I move back...

  4. This outfit is so adorable! I love the top and skirt pairing, and the little tied knot. In other news, playing the waiting game with couches sucks. I just had to do that and it took FOREVER until we received our couch, and when it did come in, it was pretty beaten up :( Good luck!

  6. Your LuLu*s skirt looks swingy, your outfit is cute and, as usual, you look like you're very happy and enjoying wearing it. Moving is hard and I can imagine how exhausting having to go up and down those five stories worth of stairs carrying everything up to your new place must have been. I've never assemble Ikea furniture but it sounds like work. I never would have guessed from your cute outfit photos that you'd been going through a move like that. Kudos on finding the courage to let go of memories and clothes in excellent condition in order to get organised and complete your move.
