...and now to finally continue on our California adventures from a month ago. Ahem.
Instead of immediately heading south from San Francisco, to continue towards our final destination of Los Angeles, Jeremy and I made a "quick" 4-hour detour up north to go see some redwoods. Now before you west coast residents say, "you know you can see redwood trees south of SF, right?", the answer is "No," we didn't even bother to check. And why didn't we?
Because we were determined to see the redwood trees along the Avenue of the Giants, also known as one of the settings for the forest moon of Endor from Star Wars' Return of the Jedi. And once we arrived, after that treacherous detour, we spent a good 30-minutes filming a terrible Star Wars reenactment on our Snapchat channels. We laughed hysterically throughout the entire filming process and then spent a good couple of hours thinking about how pathetically lame the end result actually was. Time well spent, for sure.
bwah! Isn't that the way life always is?! So much better in our (wild with imagination) heads!! Can I just say your outfit is to die for?! I love the jacket!! I miss those trees, too. they are so stinkin BIG! I could live in those redwoods - maybe I'll have one planted over my grave instead? haha!
ReplyDeleteI love the California forests. I never saw them on the East Coast, but they are really wondrous out here, aren't they? Love the tuck of the chambray shirt. I do something very similar my with my own button downs!

That was one thing we didn't do when we were there a few years ago. Kinda wish I did. Maybe next time. My husband went to some popular redwood area back when he was in grad school out there...and the trek to get there terrified him for life (driving alongside of a cliff...and he's scared of heights to begin with!).
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you're having a wonderful time and these photos are beautiful!! I love your outfit, it's so cute and comfy, definitely perfect for a road trip!
