I have to admit, I haven't been to the gym in three months. Earlier in the year I made the commitment to sign up at my local gym and pay for a full year up-front. I made a game plan and went to the gym 3 times a week, including the occasional spin or yoga class. And now I'm a lump of laziness on my couch and it's been three months in the blink of an eye. I'm #PerfectNever.
But the whole point of going to the gym isn't to become "perfect" anyway; the point of going to the gym is to feel good about yourself and be the best you that you can be. So I'm embracing #PerfectNever and being a little forgiving of my laziness, but I'm getting back on track. And I hate admitting this, but the easiest way to get me back on track is to invest in new workout gear and giving myself a reason to wear it (for fear of becoming the ridiculed subject in the activewear video). So in a collaboration with Reebok, for the remainder of the year I'm going to share with you how I [attempt to] kick ass at the gym being #PerfectNever.
Step One: Accepting that my black leggings will always be covered in lint, fuzz, and pounds of cat hair.
