Sunday Afternoons in Chelsea

I had Dim Sum two days in a row this past weekend and the Food Gods shone their light on me and blessed my stomach with all the good feels. Much appreciated, Food Gods. Much appreciated.

Now that we've gotten that important news out of the way, Jeremy and I caught up with a few friends this past Sunday to explore the Chelsea neighborhood. Our ultimate goal was to visit the Whitney and see what all the fuss was about. Usually I can get pretty restless walking through museums; my dad and I are notorious for being the ones to find our way to those lovely museum benches during family trips. However, the Whitney had a good number of interactive pieces and I was enthralled by their portraiture exhibit on the seventh floor. Yes, enthralled. If you're thinking of going, definitely aim for the early morning, right when their doors open. Once you hit the afternoon, you might find yourself waiting in a ticket line that stretches outside.

By the time we left we had all worked up an appetite, so we stopped by Bill's Burger and Bar (just a few blocks away) for an early dinner. And I know they've got the word 'burger' in their name, but get the chicken sandwich it's amazing yes yes yes.

  4. Is it Bill's itself? Or next door that has a bar with some bomb pickleback shots? Anyways, I love the Meatpacking district. I miss being around there so much (so close to Artichoke!)
