For me, one of the best things about fall is matching my outfits to the changing leaves on the tree (aka I'm a dork). However, I don't think New York City got the message yet since all the trees are still green and I'm already pulling out all my reds and oranges. Seeing all these other pictures with classic, fall foliage is really making me impatient for the leaves to change. One of my favorite outfit posts of all time was Flames Overhead - not because of the outfit (it wasn't that great) but because of the autumn backdrop. Absolutely breathtaking. Then again, those photos were toward the end of November so I guess I'll learn to be a little more patient.
This outfit also reminds me that I cannot wait for Halloween. Two more weeks! I'm planning on participating in the West Village Halloween Parade with a few friends and rocking a badass costume. Do you guys know what you're being for Halloween yet?
this is so dang perfect. AH. I love that dress (I've seen it on a few bloggers but I love the way you styled it!!) and I adore those tights and oh gosh I just love Halloween and Halloween inspired outfits.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm commenting on your post from over the weekend in a minute so don't think I forgot about it ;)
seriously wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAhh, I just love your smile~ it's so cute! And this outfit is the epitome of pumpkin perfection. The tights and heels combo is hawttttt, Jen. DEM LEGS!
ReplyDeleteHaha, the leaves don't wanna change here, either! I'm sure they'll change their minds soon. I'm not sure what I'll do for Halloween since it's in the middle of the week and I'll be in college, but maybe there'll be a party or something the following Friday I can attend. :D
So adore the idea of layering one dress over another...don't know why I haven't tried this yet! It's very sleek and chic the way you've put red and black together...silky with slim fit...and especially with those mesh tights and high heels!

Your outfit just screams NYC to me :) Does that make me a naive tourist? Probably.
ReplyDeleteI hope you felt good about my mention of you in my post today. Your words really inspired me, and I hope I summarized your perspective well.

in my neighbourhood, all the trees are various shades of red and orange already, and half of the leaves have fallen already. it makes for a very scenic walk to campus! hehe.

Well at least you have tights weather??? It's like 90-degrees this week over here. AND our leaves are still green haha. But that rust color is definitely one of my favorite colors to wear this time of year. I love how you styled it <3
ReplyDeleteWill get to your email as soon as I can!
