It's been such a fun adventure helping her photograph her products with a fresh look and feel (she blogged about it here) and now she's also offering up one of her newest products, launching in her store next week.

Something I've been making mental notes to do for the past five years is to invest in a good pair of rainboots. Every time it rains, I always end up ruining a pair of shoes that just weren't meant to survive giant puddles. That's when I tell myself that maybe it's time to just suck it up and pick some up the next time I'm out shopping; but then lo and behold the sun comes out, as it always does, and I tell myself it's not worth it just for the few times the rain falls.

But that's the thing...the rain falls more than just a few times. In the course of a year it rains a shit ton, and a good pair of rainboots can get you through those days for years to come. Luckily, I've got these bad boy Jumpy boots from Méduse. Now I can #GetJumpy with those rain puddles instead of plopping around with soaked socks and damp shoes.

Holiday decorations are popping up all around the city and it's reminding me why I love New York City so much. You can hear the Salvation Army bell ringers on various street corners and Christmas lights bright up the bare tree branches. So many bells, you guys, and so many lights.

In the spirit of Christmas, my friend's older brother just released his own children's book called The Christmas Department and he wants to bring his story to people all over the world. He gifted me a copy and the story is really adorable (although all holiday-related stories in general tend to warm my heart). Now that cold weather is finally here (at least on the east coast), my eyes naturally wander over to every single pair of boots I pass on the streets, in the subway, and in store windows.
